Ingredients

  • 4 cups of Tortilla chips

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup cooked and seasoned meat of choice (optional)

  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of chopped cilantro

  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream or guacamole for topping

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Arrange tortilla chips on a baking sheet.

  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the chips.

  4. With a grown-up's help, cook your choice of seasoned ground beef or chicken in a pan. If it's beef, use taco seasoning. For chicken, add 1/8 teaspoon each of cumin, chili powder, and garlic powder.

  5. Sprinkle diced tomatoes on the top.

  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  7. Top with sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
